HARBOR HILL DESIGN

FINE HANDCRAFTED FURNITURE
Welcome
Nestled in the quaint, seaside village of Woods Hole, MA sits my workshop where I am inspired and guided by a mission to restore the spirit of the furniture making world using my own hands. Hand-crafted wood furniture does more than merely serve a basic function; it tells a story, makes an artistic statement and adds to the beauty and charm that makes a home uniquely yours.
At Harbor Hill Design I personally select each board, paying special attention to grain pattern and inherent stability. I apply old world, traditional woodworking techniques which are as unique as the wood it came from. Inspired by nature itself, all the unusual grain patterns, the knots and color variations, the “imperfections” that the world of mass production cut out and discard are the very features that give my furniture it’s character which can’t be replicated.
I would be happy to collaborate with you to design and build an heirloom quality piece of furniture that brings your vision to life.

“We had a narrow entryway and needed a table for the phone, keys etc and a couple of drawers. Something simple and straight forward that looked elegant. We gave Griff our available space and how we would use the table. He got back to us with a drawing of a Shaker style long narrow table in cherry that would fit perfectly. Griff delivered exactly what we were looking for with a stylish, timely, professional and affordable piece of furniture. Thanks Griff”

It’s like the two entangled metal puzzle pieces that come apart once you understand the simple secret. Consequently, Griff has the aptitude to dissect such ruses with aplomb; an ease that puts him in another sphere of intelligence..." Read more

My name is Griffith Outlaw. My woodworking passion and skills began to take shape when I was a young man; at first working alongside my dad as he worked on projects which eventually gave me the confidence to venture out to pursue and refine the craft of furniture making.
